Privacy Policy

Alaso Club is a worldwide supporters club for Haiti's national football teams, operated by Chokarella Media LLC ("Alaso Club," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Alaso Club app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed past.
What we collect
Account and profile information you give us. When you join, we ask for your name, email address, and a password. To complete your member profile, we also collect your date of birth, sex, nationality, phone number, city and country, mailing address and postal code (used for member mailings you request), your lakou (chapter), jersey preferences, and a profile photo if you add one.
Content you create. Posts, comments, photos you attach to posts, poll votes, event RSVPs, watch-party check-ins, match reminders, and reports you file about content or members.
Device information. If you enable push notifications, we store a device push token (Apple/Google Firebase) so we can deliver them. We do not collect your precise location, contacts, or browsing history, and the app contains no advertising trackers.
Membership credential. Your member card includes a QR code containing your member identifier, used for event check-in. If you add your card to Apple Wallet, the pass is generated with your name, lakou, and member number.
How we use it
We use your information to run the club: creating and displaying your member profile and card, showing your posts and comments to other members, organizing chapters and events, delivering the notifications you choose (match alerts, chapter events, replies), providing member perks, keeping the community safe (moderation, enforcing our guidelines), and communicating with you about your account.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who sees what
Other members can see your display name, profile photo, lakou, member-since date, and the content you post. Your email, phone, birthday, sex, nationality, and address are never shown to other members.
Service providers process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and file hosting), Google Firebase (push notification delivery), Brevo (email delivery), and Apple (Wallet passes and app distribution). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of members or the public.
Your choices and rights
Blocking. You can block any member; their content disappears from your experience.
Notifications. You control push notification categories in Settings, or disable them entirely in your device settings.
Access and correction. You can view and edit your profile information in the app at any time.
Deletion. You can delete your account in Settings → Delete my account. This permanently removes your profile, posts, comments, photos, votes, device tokens, and stored files. Content you reported or that was moderated may be retained in anonymized form for safety records. You can also email us to request deletion.
Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA, UK, and certain US states), you may have additional legal rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data. Contact us to exercise them.
Data retention and security
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed as described above. Data is hosted in the United States. We protect it with encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on our database, but no system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
Alaso Club is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for meaningful changes, notify you in the app.
